As well as the Board, we bring community and statutory organisations together to shape collective action through our South Belfast fora:

Community Support Group

The Community Support Group brings together 15-20 members to speak on behalf of a range of thematic areas of work across South Belfast, both geographically and communities of interest in accordance with Section 75. The collective is democratically elected out of 107 community organisation in South Belfast and is vital in (1) preparing for outcome based accountability aligning with Programme for Government; (2) carrying forward a joint voice for South Belfast and support the process of increasing capacity, collaboration and partnerships across the sector in South Belfast.

Health Forum

The South Belfast Health Forum Steering Group will bring together maximum of 5 members to represent local geographic areas, community of interest groups and sectors to advise and strategically influence the work of the South Belfast Health Forum and the forums related action plan to tackle health inequalities in South Belfast.

Economic Forum

The strategic aims for Economic Development in South Belfast are delivered through the South Belfast Economic Forum since its launch in 2013. Its remit is to consult with the wider business community, public sector and community and voluntary sector on relevant local and national economic development opportunities. The South Belfast Economic Forum has three thematic subgroups in training skills and employer engagement (SEET), growth enterprise and trade (GET) and cultural tourism (Tourism) tasked with exploring and delivering on opportunities to add value, lead and shape strategic direction, provide economic leadership for the area complementing existing and emerging structures whilst offering a strategic operational delivery mechanism to address actions identified within current and emerging policy & strategy. Each forum has its own independent chair and clear terms of reference
