The strategic aims for Economic Development in South Belfast are delivered through the South Belfast Economic Forum since its launch in 2013. Its remit is to consult with the wider business community, public sector and community and voluntary sector on relevant local and national economic development opportunities. The South Belfast Economic Forum has three thematic subgroups in training skills and employer engagement (SEET), growth enterprise and trade (GET) and cultural tourism (Tourism) tasked with exploring and delivering on opportunities to add value, lead and shape strategic direction, provide economic leadership for the area complementing existing and emerging structures whilst offering a strategic operational delivery mechanism to address actions identified within current and emerging policy & strategy. Each forum has its own independent chair and clear terms of reference
