Community Empowerment Programme

Forward South Partnership (FSP) is leading an exciting new programme in south Belfast over the next 3 years.

The Community Empowerment Programme (CEP) is part of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, which is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

FSP will be collaborating with NICVA and a network of community partners from across Belfast and will be recruiting 20 participants from across south Belfast to work collaboratively on delivering a community project.

The Belfast Local Community Action Plan is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).

We want to hear what is important to people and communities in south Belfast and we seek to deliver a programme which will empower communities to work collectively to bring about positive social change.

As a participant on the Community Empowerment Programme you will spend at least 30 hours over the next year co-designing the project plan and assisting in delivering the activities that are agreed by the group.

The first part of our process will be to engage citizens in a range of engagement events across south Belfast to assess the current local community strengths, weaknesses and gaps; this will inform our action plan for activities and events in the south Belfast area.

If you wish to know more or discuss the programme. Contact the South Belfast Programme Coordinator Fiona Molloy at Fiona.molloy@forwardsouth.org or call Fiona on 07894116445.
